Privacy Policy
Last updated on October 8, 2026.
DorDev ("DorDev," "I," or "me") is the web development practice of Dorian McClintock. This policy explains what personal information dordev.com (the "Site") and its client portal collect, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
Information I Collect
Contact form. When you send a message, the form collects your name, email address, subject, and message. The message is delivered to my inbox by email and is not stored in the Site's database.
Client portal accounts. If you create an account, I store your name, email address, whether your email is verified, and a securely hashed password (never the password itself). Each time you sign in, a session is created that records its expiry time, your IP address, and your browser's user agent.
Client records. For clients I work with, the portal may hold your contact name, company name, email address, phone number, and address, along with the quotes and invoices I issue to you (line items, amounts, status, and notes).
Security and technical data. To protect the Site from abuse, I temporarily process IP addresses to rate-limit requests, and I log security events such as failed sign-in attempts, which can include the email address entered and the IP address used.
Analytics data. The Site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure visits and app downloads. These services collect the pages you view, the download buttons you click, your approximate location, and details about your browser and device.
The Site does not use advertising cookies, and it does not collect payment card details.
How I Use Information
- To reply to your messages and inquiries
- To understand how the Site and its apps are found and used
- To create and secure your portal account, including email verification and password resets
- To share quotes and invoices with you and keep records of our work together
- To prevent spam, fraud, and unauthorized access
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
Cookies and Local Storage
When you sign in to the portal, the Site sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the portal to work and is removed when you sign out or the session expires. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are not a bot, which may process information about your browser and device. Google Analytics sets cookies that distinguish visitors so that visits can be counted. Some interactive demos on the Explore pages save example data in your browser's local storage; that data stays on your device.
Service Providers
I do not sell or rent your personal information. I share it only with providers that run the Site:
- Vercel: website hosting
- Neon: database hosting for portal accounts and client records
- Resend: delivery of contact form messages and account emails
- Cloudflare Turnstile: bot protection on the contact form
- Google: visit and download measurement through Tag Manager and Analytics
These providers process information on my behalf and may store it in countries other than your own. I may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of the Site and its users.
Retention
Sign-in sessions expire automatically. Account information is kept while your account is active. Quotes, invoices, and related client records are kept as long as needed for our work together and for tax and accounting requirements. Contact form messages are kept in my email for as long as they are useful for correspondence.
Security
Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and portal records can only be viewed by the account they belong to. No system is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information. See the Security page for more details.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to close your portal account, by emailing me. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and I will honor requests as the law requires. Some records, such as invoices, may need to be kept for legal or accounting reasons.
Children
The Site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes affecting portal users will also be sent by email.
